text: a universe of stories. star field with alien landscape made of books.The Adult Summer Reading Program starts on June 1st! Drop in any location to pick up a bookmark reading log. Fill in the back of the bookmark with titles of books you read this summer. Books, ebooks, audiobooks, newspapers, and magazines count! Turn in your bookmark to any Oldham County Library and get a reusable tote while supplies last. Each title filled in represents an entry in a prize drawing at the end of summer for a Galaxy tablet and other prizes. You can also win prizes by attending events! Every adult event will have a themed prize, and winners will be drawn that night for each event.

August 12th, 6:30pm, Main Library

Learn about the many ways to access and listen to library books using your phone or tablet. Information about the Kentucky Talking Book Library for visually impaired patrons will be available. No registration required.


Cooking in Space
August 15th, 6pm, Main Library

Put on your space helmet and learn about zero-g cuisine! What does it take to prepare food in space? What are the challenges and what developments have been made in this field? Try food based science and do an astronaut taste test. Adults only. Registration opens June 1st.
